1. Chu Jen-chieh (Gordon Liu)
A fake monk who sells placebos and demands donations to the townspeople. He tries to help his brother and friends in need.
(Kung fu star famous for "The 36th Chamber of Shaolin" (1978). He is also good at comical acting.)

2. Chou Sheng (Wa Lun)
Jen-chieh's elder brother. He works at a fabric dyeing mill. But suddenly his salary is cut, he is confused.

3. Hsiao Hung (Kara Hui Ying-Hung)
Female worker. A colleague of Chou Sheng. Protesting wage cut, she tries to punish mill's villains.

4. San Te (King Lee King-Chu)

「なつかしの香港映画ブログ」A young man (Gordon Liu) who was seriously injured by supporting the Ming Dynasty, trains kung fu at Shaolin Temple. 

Cast
1. Liu Yude: Monk San Te (Gordon Liu)
The son of a seafood shop and also a teacher Ho's student. He made a mistake in town and is warned by Tang an official of Qing dynasty (1636–1912). After entering Shaolin Temple, his name changes to "San Te".
(Star of "Shaolin kung fu movies" along with Jet Li and Carter Huang. He is the Chinese version of Yul Brynner. Fist and Guts (1979), etc.)

2. Teacher Ho (Wai Wang)
A man who supports Ming Dynasty (1368–1644).

Qing dynasty's General. He never forgives the members of the anti-Qing dynasty. The confrontation between San Te and him at the final battle, is a famous scene in the history of kung fu movies.
