1. Sit Chi-man (Michael Hui)
A TV personality who is desperately bad at singing and dancing. He has an eight-year exclusive contract with MTV TV, but has few work.
(The man who made the Hong Kong film world alive after Bruce Lee's death. His comedy film series is popular. He co-starred with Jackie Chan in "The Cannonball Run" (1981) and "Rob-B-Hood" (2006) .)
2. Sit Chi-ying (Ricky Hui)
Chi-man's younger brother. He has a disability in one ear, but he is so familiar with the machine that he develops a "clapping-responsive television". The person he longs for is Edison.

3. Chiu Sai-kit (Samuel Hui)

4. Chu Ling-ling (Ellen Lau)
Sai-kit's cute sister. She loves Chi-ying.
5. Ms. Wang (Tiffany Bao)
A new producer of MTV TV. She has lost her health by overwork, uses a wheelchair, and is protected by two bodyguards.
6. King Kong (Cheng Fu-hing)
Bodyguard of the producer. A ferocious big man wearing an "iron claw" in his hand. He chases Chi-man who tries to steal his contract.
(In Jackie Chan's The Fearless Hyena, he comically played an illegal gambler.)
7. Eye-patch man (Yeung Wai)
Bodyguard of the producer. He is a buddy of "King Kong" and is good at using knives.
8. Mrs. Li (Cheng Siu-Ping)
Woman who appears in a quiz show hosted by Chi-man. She aims high prizes at the expense of her "keepsake, pet dog, and husband suffering from illness."
(She played a shoplifter in "The Private Eyes" (1976).)
