1. Cheng Lung (Jackie Chan)
A young man who is good at kung fu. He likes gambling & playing, and is a wild kid who catches birds and fishes.
(Actor who became a real star after a long struggle. He always plays a comical and strong man. "Spiritual Kung-Fu" (1978), "The Young Master" (1980), "The Cannonball Run" (1981), "Fantasy Mission Force "(1982), "Project A "(1983), "The Protector"(1985), "The Armor of God"(1986), etc.)
2. Ching Chun-nam (James Tien)
Younger brother of the Ching brothers, and father of Cheng Lung. He is being chased by a brutal duo called "Devils".
(The actor who often plays villains. In "Spiritual Kung-Fu" (1978), he played the master of deadly kung fu. "The Big Boss" (1971), "Half A Loaf Of Kung-Fu!" (1978), "Winners and Sinners" (1983), etc.)
3. Tung (Austin Wai)
Cousin of Cheng Lung. Lazy man.
(He seems to have appeared in "Game of Death" (1978) and "Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Stars" (1985).)
4. Ching Tsun Pei (Chen Hui-Lou)
Elder brother of the Ching brothers, and uncle of Cheng Lung. Being chased by "Devils", he was separated from his younger brother.
(He played the role of Jackie's training master in "The Fearless Hyena" (1979) and a member of the rogue group "Bloody Rain" in "To Kill With Intrigue" (1977).)
5. Beggar Siu (Ma Chiang)
A brave man who protects Ching Tsun Pei. He fights "Devils" with kung fu, but ...
(He played one of the funny gambler trio in "The Fearless Hyena" (1979) and a member of the "Four Bodyguards" in "The Killer Meteors" (1977).)
6. Ha Ling (Pearl Lin Yin-Zhu)
Daughter of Beggar Siu. Beautiful and strong woman. She opposes "Devils" with her father.
(Actress who can do kung fu. In "Dragon Fist" (1979), she played a daughter of a kung fu fighter.)
7. Restaurant owner (Dean Shek)
He's a really stingy guy who teaches Cheng Lung, who wants a job, how to work and tries to get him to work for free.
(A comedian who plays a strange role. He played a fart man in "Half A Loaf Of Kung-Fu!" (1978), a stupid landlord in "Master With Crack Fingers" (1978), and a local boss who is beaten by Sammo Hung in "Dirty Tiger, Crazy Frog" (1980) & "Odd Couple" (1979).)
8. Devils (Yam Sai-koon (image), Kwan Yung-moon)
Heaven Devil & Earth Devil. For unknown reasons, they hate and chase the Ching brothers. Their specialty is a strange combination technique that makes you laugh.
(Yam Sai-koon: He played a ruthless fighter in "Dragon Fist" (1979) and a Qing assassin in "The Fearless Hyena" (1979). Kwan Yung-moon: The man who played "The evil boss fighting blindfold" in "Master With Crack Fingers" (1978). "Dragon Lord" (1982), "Project A" (1983), etc.)
