なつかし香港映画:"The 36th Chamber of Shaolin"(1978:Gordon Liu)

「なつかしの香港映画ブログ」A young man (Gordon Liu) who was seriously injured by supporting the Ming Dynasty, trains kung fu at Shaolin Temple. 

Cast
1. Liu Yude: Monk San Te (Gordon Liu)
The son of a seafood shop and also a teacher Ho's student. He made a mistake in town and is warned by Tang an official of Qing dynasty (1636–1912). After entering Shaolin Temple, his name changes to "San Te".
(Star of "Shaolin kung fu movies" along with Jet Li and Carter Huang. He is the Chinese version of Yul Brynner. Fist and Guts (1979), etc.)

2. Teacher Ho (Wai Wang)
A man who supports Ming Dynasty (1368–1644).
(An actor who has appeared in many films. "Carry On Pickpocket" (1982), etc.)

3. General Yin (Lau Kar-Wing)
Anti-Qing dynasty, he confronts General Tien.
(An action actor who often appears in "Sammo Hung movies" such as "Odd Couple" (1979). He co-starred with Gordon Liu in "Fist and Guts" (1979).)

4. Abbot of Boxing Chamber (Yuen Siu-Tin)
Abbot of Shaolin Temple. In one of the "35 Chambers", he teaches young monks the forms of kung fu. The training scenes where San Te learns a lot from many Abbots, are big highlights of this movie.
(He co-starred with Jackie Chan in "Snake In The Eagle's Shadow" (1978) and "Drunken Master" (1978). "Sleeping Fist" (1979), etc.)

5. Abbot of Justice Office (Lee Hoi-sang)
Abbot of Shaolin Temple. San Te masters kung fu at an exceptional pace. He tries to test San Te's spirit and kung fu skills.
(The actor who often plays the comical villain. He played the humorous "crab fist" man in "Dirty Tiger, Crazy Frog" (1980) and the pirate in "Project A" (1983).)

6. Tang (Wilson Tong)
A subordinate of General Tien. He thoroughly searches for a seafood store run by Liu Yude's father to crack down on members of the anti-Qing dynasty. A few years later, he confronts San Te who has completed his training.
(An actor who has appeared in many kung fu films. A man who was kicked by Angela Mao in "Enter the Dragon" (1973).)

7. Cheng (Cheung Ng-Long)
Qing dynasty's General. He confronts San Te.
(A villain actor with characteristic eyes. "Project A" (1983), "Project A II" (1987), "Winners and Sinners" (1983), etc.)

8. Tien (Lo Lieh)
Qing dynasty's General. He never forgives the members of the anti-Qing dynasty. The confrontation between San Te and him at the final battle, is a famous scene in the history of kung fu movies.
(A villain actor who has appeared in many films. Gordon Liu and he faced off in "Fist and Guts" (1979). The "Golden Demon" that he played in "Born Invincible" (1978) is also famous. "Canton God Father" (1989), "Police Story 3" (1992), etc.)
